Is research-grade DSIP third-party tested?

What an independent DSIP test covers, which numbers the report should show, and how to confirm the result belongs to the vial in your hand.

Published November 3, 2026

Yes. Research-grade DSIP sold in Canada is tested by an independent lab before it ships, and the result is published against the batch the vial was filled from. What matters is whether the report you are shown belongs to the vial in your hand, and whether the lab that ran the test had any stake in the answer.

What "third-party tested" means for DSIP

Three parties sit behind a tested vial. One makes the peptide, one sells it to you, and one runs the analysis. A third-party test means that last role belongs to a lab with no stake in the result, and the report names it.

Two shortcuts get passed off as a third-party test. A seller who runs the assay on its own equipment and publishes the result is checking its own material. A single PDF parked on a product page says a sample with that name was tested once; it does not say which batch your vial came from.

A complete report covers four tests: identity by mass spectrometry, purity by HPLC, endotoxin and sterility. Each answers a different question, and a report that leaves one out leaves a gap. The same four tests apply to every peptide in the catalog, and the BPC-157 handling guide covers them for a much larger molecule.

The report should also name the lab that ran the test. Janoshik Analytical and Anabolic Lab are the names that come up most in this market, and a named independent lab is the difference between a test and a marketing claim. An unnamed report cannot be checked outside the seller's own records.

What DSIP is

Delta sleep-inducing peptide is a nine-amino-acid neuropeptide, sequence Trp-Ala-Gly-Gly-Asp-Ala-Ser-Gly-Glu (WAGGDASGE), at 848.81 g/mol. Monnier and Schoenenberger isolated it in Basel in 1977, and later sleep work gave inconsistent results with no dedicated receptor firmly identified. The DSIP handling guide carries the full identity sheet, the concentration table and the storage notes.

What a DSIP report should show

Read the certificate against these fields rather than the headline purity figure:

FieldWhat to look for
Identity (mass spectrometry)An observed mass near 848.81 g/mol, beside the expected value
Purity (HPLC)99% or higher
EndotoxinBelow 0.5 EU/mg
SterilityPassed
BatchThe same code as the sticker on the vial
Test dateLater than the vial's fill date

The mass line settles identity. DSIP's 848.81 g/mol sits far enough from Epitalon at 390.35 g/mol and Selank at 751.87 g/mol that one line of a report tells the three apart. A 99% figure for the wrong molecule is worth nothing, so read the mass before the purity.

Endotoxin measures something purity cannot. Endotoxins are fragments shed by gram-negative bacteria, and even trace amounts interfere with cell-based work, so a report that omits the test leaves that risk unmeasured. Sterility covers a third failure mode: whether anything is growing in the sample. Purity, endotoxin and sterility each describe a different way a vial can be unfit for lab work, and a certificate should report all three.

How to check that the report matches the vial

A report only means something if it reaches your vial. Four things carry that link:

  • A unique code on the vial itself, whether a batch ID, a UUID or a QR code.
  • A report URL that resolves on the seller's own domain, not a file-sharing link.
  • A batch code on the report that matches the sticker on the vial.
  • A test date later than the vial's fill date.

The test date catches the most common substitution: a report generated before your vial was filled describes a different batch, whoever is named on it. A QR code that leads to a dead link, or to one generic certificate for the whole product line, has not established that link either. Treat the vial as untested until the seller supplies a document that matches its code.

Every pepuro vial carries a QR code that opens the report for its own batch at pepuro.com/b/<batch code>, and the code can be typed into the tracking page instead. How per-vial QR tracking works explains what the page shows, and how to read a peptide lab report walks through every line of the certificate. DSIP in Canada covers what is sold and what it costs.

What a third-party test does not change

A report settles what is in the vial. It does not change what the material may be sold as. DSIP is bought and sold in Canada as a research chemical for in-vitro laboratory work, not as a drug, a supplement, a food or a cosmetic, and no purity figure moves it into another category. Are research peptides legal in Canada? sets out where that line sits. This page is general information, not legal advice.

Every DSIP vial from pepuro ships free from our Calgary, Toronto and Vancouver distribution centers, dispatched the same business day your e-Transfer clears, with a QR code on the vial that opens its independent, third-party lab report.

Frequently asked questions

Is research-grade DSIP third-party tested?

+

At pepuro, yes. Every DSIP batch is tested by an independent lab before it ships, and the report covers identity by mass spectrometry, purity by HPLC, endotoxin and sterility. The batch number on the report matches the code on the vial, and the QR code on the vial opens that report.

What is DSIP?

+

Delta sleep-inducing peptide, a nine-residue neuropeptide at 848.81 g/mol. It is studied in sleep and neuroendocrine research. The DSIP handling guide carries its sequence, concentration table and storage notes.

Which lab tests DSIP?

+

An independent analytical lab, named on the report. In this market the names that come up most are Janoshik Analytical and Anabolic Lab. A report with no lab named is not a third-party test, because nothing on it says the seller was not the one running the analysis.

What numbers should a DSIP lab report show?

+

Identity by mass spectrometry with an observed mass near 848.81 g/mol beside the expected value, purity by HPLC at 99% or higher, endotoxin below 0.5 EU/mg, and a sterility result. The batch number should match the vial, and the test date should fall after the vial's fill date.

How do I know a DSIP report is for my vial and not another batch?

+

Scan the QR code on the vial. It resolves to the report for that vial's own batch rather than one PDF reused across the product line. Two checks catch a recycled report: the batch code on the report matches the sticker, and the test date is later than the fill date.

Does a third-party test make DSIP a drug or an approved product?

+

No. A lab report proves what is in the vial and says nothing about regulatory status. DSIP is sold as a research chemical for in-vitro laboratory work, not as a drug, a supplement or a food, and it carries no Health Canada approval for human or animal consumption.
