It is a synthetic tetrapeptide based on Epithalamin, a pineal gland extract, and is studied in chromatin and telomere research models.
The amidated analog
We also carry N-acetyl epitalon amidate. The modification caps both ends of the peptide: an acetyl group on the N-terminus and an amide on the C-terminus. Peptidases attack from the ends, so capping both is a stability measure. The AEDG sequence between the caps is identical.
We have not published a molecular weight or CAS for that analog. The identifiers are pending confirmation against a certificate of analysis for the material we actually stock. Its Specifications tab says so rather than printing a number we cannot back.
