Same starting point, three treatments

Sermorelin is GHRH(1-29) with nothing added. It is the baseline: the shortest fragment that still works, unmodified, and correspondingly quick to be cleared.

CJC-1295 takes the same 29-residue fragment and swaps four amino acids for ones the trimming enzyme cannot cut. That is the no-DAC version. Add a drug affinity complex that binds albumin and you get the DAC version, which lasts far longer in research models. CJC-1295 DAC vs no-DAC goes through that pair in detail.

Tesamorelin goes the other way: keep all 44 residues and stabilise the N-terminus with a trans-3-hexenoyl group. It is the heaviest of the four by a wide margin.

Sermorelin and CJC-1295 no-DAC are ten grams per mole apart, the tightest pair we sell. Four amino acid substitutions barely change the mass because the residues swapped in are similar in size to the ones swapped out. A mass-spec result to two decimal places still separates them, but this is a case where you should read the report rather than glance at it, and check that the certificate names the compound it tested.

Pairing with a ghrelin agonist

Because it is the full 44-residue hormone rather than the 29-residue fragment, plus its trans-3-hexenoyl group. Fifteen extra residues is most of the 1,800 g/mol difference.
