DSIP in Canada: what's sold and how to check it
DSIP is sold in Canada as a research chemical for lab use. Vial sizes, prices, how the rules apply, and how to check that a vial is really DSIP.

Yes, DSIP is available in Canada, sold by domestic suppliers as a research chemical for laboratory use. pepuro carries it as a lyophilized powder in 5 mg and 10 mg vials, and every vial has a QR code that opens the third-party lab report for its own batch. It is not sold as a medicine, and nothing about a research vial makes it one.

What DSIP is
Delta sleep-inducing peptide is a nine-amino-acid neuropeptide, sequence Trp-Ala-Gly-Gly-Asp-Ala-Ser-Gly-Glu (WAGGDASGE). Three of the nine residues are glycine, and there is no disulfide bond or unusual residue in the chain.
| Full name | Delta sleep-inducing peptide |
| Sequence | Trp-Ala-Gly-Gly-Asp-Ala-Ser-Gly-Glu (WAGGDASGE) |
| Formula | C35H48N10O15 |
| Molecular weight | 848.81 g/mol |
| CAS | 62568-57-4 |
| Vial sizes we sell | 5 mg, 10 mg |
The name records the experiment that found it. Monnier and Schoenenberger isolated the peptide in Basel in 1977, by stimulating part of a rabbit thalamus and collecting cerebral venous blood. The name describes that first observation. Later work on DSIP has given inconsistent results, and no dedicated receptor or precursor gene has been firmly identified, which is a large part of why it is still studied in sleep and neuroendocrine research. The DSIP handling guide has the concentration table, the storage notes and the rest of the identity sheet.
DSIP sits in the catalog beside other short regulatory peptides, including Epitalon. The Epitalon handling guide covers that one.
Where to find DSIP in Canada
There is no DSIP storefront to walk into. Canadian suppliers sell it as a lyophilized powder by mail, and the sellers differ on where the parcel ships from, whether the report is tied to your batch, and who ran the test.
These are pepuro's list prices on the date of this article. The product cards above always show the current price.
Because DSIP is a light molecule, a milligram of it holds more molecules than a milligram of a heavier peptide. A 5 mg vial is about 5.89 micromoles and a 10 mg vial about 11.78, which matters if your work is written in molar units. The DSIP calculator preset has the molecular weight already loaded.
Is DSIP legal in Canada?
Research peptides, DSIP included, are bought and sold in Canada as research chemicals intended for laboratory work. What the rules restrict is marketing, selling or using them as drugs for human consumption, and research peptides carry no Health Canada approval for that. The line is intended use, not the molecule. Are research peptides legal in Canada? covers that distinction in full, and this page is general information, not legal advice.
Ordering from a supplier inside Canada also keeps the parcel in the country, so there is no customs step and no import fee at the door. The same availability question is answered for other peptides in BPC-157 in Canada and GHK-Cu in Canada.
How to check a DSIP vial
The lab report is the part you can check without trusting anyone's packaging. A DSIP report should show:
- an observed mass near 848.81 g/mol
- purity at 99% or higher by HPLC, the floor for every batch pepuro ships
- a batch number that matches the code on the vial
- the name of an independent lab that ran the test
Mass settles the identity question, and DSIP's mass sits far enough from the short peptides sold beside it to tell them apart on one line:
| Peptide | Molecular weight |
|---|---|
| DSIP | 848.81 g/mol |
| Selank | 751.87 g/mol |
| Epitalon | 390.35 g/mol |
Scan the QR code on any pepuro DSIP vial to open the report for its batch, or type the batch code into the tracking page. Before you order, the Lab Reports tab on the product page sends the latest batch's report by email. How to read a peptide lab report explains each line of it.
Buying DSIP in Canada instead of importing it
A US listing can look cheaper until the parcel reaches the border. A shipment entering Canada can be examined, delayed or held by the Canada Border Services Agency, the import obligation sits with the receiver rather than the sender, and a held parcel is generally not replaced by whoever shipped it. Importing research peptides from the US works through what that adds to the bill.
A domestic order skips all of it: no customs step, no brokerage fee, and the price you see is the price you pay.
Every DSIP vial from pepuro ships free from our Calgary, Toronto and Vancouver distribution centers, dispatched the same business day your e-Transfer clears, with a QR code on the vial that opens its independent, third-party lab report.
For research use only. Not for human or animal consumption.
Frequently asked questions
Is DSIP available in Canada?
+
Yes, as a research chemical. Canadian suppliers sell lyophilized DSIP for laboratory use, and pepuro ships 5 mg and 10 mg vials from inside Canada. It is not sold as a drug, and a research vial carries no Health Canada approval.
Is DSIP legal in Canada?
+
DSIP is bought and sold in Canada as a research chemical meant for the lab. What the rules restrict is marketing, selling or using it as a drug for human consumption. Intended use decides the line, not the molecule. This is general information, not legal advice.
What does a DSIP vial cost in Canada?
+
At pepuro a 5 mg vial is $29.99 and a 10 mg vial is $44.99, with free shipping anywhere in Canada. That works out to about $6.00 a milligram for the smaller vial and about $4.50 for the larger one.
How do I check that a vial really contains DSIP?
+
Read its lab report. The observed mass should sit near 848.81 g/mol, purity should be 99% or higher by HPLC, the batch number should match the code on the vial, and a named independent lab should have run the test.
Does DSIP ship from within Canada?
+
Yes. Every pepuro order ships free from our Calgary, Toronto and Vancouver distribution centers, so nothing crosses a border and there is no customs hold or import fee at the door.
