Selank in Canada: what's sold and how to check it
Selank is sold in Canada as a research chemical for lab use. Vial sizes, prices, the rules that apply, and how to check that a vial is really selank.

Yes, selank is available in Canada, sold by domestic suppliers as a research chemical for laboratory use. pepuro carries it as a lyophilized powder in 5 mg, 10 mg and 30 mg vials, and every vial has a QR code that opens the third-party lab report for its own batch. It is not sold as a medicine, and nothing about a research vial makes it one.

What selank is
Selank is a synthetic seven-residue peptide built on tuftsin, a four-residue peptide found in the immune system, with a proline-glycine-proline tail added to the sequence. Its sequence is TKPRPGP: the first four residues are tuftsin, and the last three are the same tail semax carries.
| Full name | Selank |
| Sequence | Thr-Lys-Pro-Arg-Pro-Gly-Pro (TKPRPGP) |
| Formula | C33H57N11O9 |
| Molecular weight | 751.87 g/mol |
| CAS | 129954-34-3 |
| Vial sizes we sell | 5 mg, 10 mg, 30 mg |
That molecular weight is the expected mass on a mass-spec result, so a report showing an observed mass at 751.9 has confirmed the molecule, not just the purity figure. Semax vs selank sets the two Russian neuropeptides side by side; they share a tail and nothing else.
The catalog carries two modified versions alongside the parent. N-acetyl selank amidate has an acetyl group on one end and an amide on the other, both caps added to slow the peptidases that trim a peptide from its ends. We do not print a molecular weight for that analog, because the identifiers stay blank until a certificate of analysis for the material we stock confirms them. The selank + semax blend is a single vial holding 10 mg of each peptide, combined before lyophilization.
What selank costs in Canada
There is no selank storefront to walk into. Canadian suppliers sell it as lyophilized powder by mail, and they differ on where the parcel ships from, whether the report is tied to your batch, and which lab ran the test.
These are pepuro's list prices on the date of this article. The product cards above always show the current price.
| Product | What's in the vial | Price | Per mg |
|---|---|---|---|
| Selank | 5 mg | $27.99 | about $5.60 |
| Selank | 10 mg | $39.99 | about $4.00 |
| Selank | 30 mg | $89.99 | about $3.00 |
| N-acetyl selank amidate | 10 mg | $45.99 | about $4.60 |
| Selank + semax blend | 10 mg + 10 mg | $74.99 | about $3.75 |
Because selank is a light molecule, a milligram of it holds more molecules than a milligram of a heavier peptide: a 5 mg vial is about 6.65 micromoles and a 30 mg vial about 39.9. If your work is written in molar units, that figure decides the arithmetic, and the selank calculator preset has the molecular weight already loaded. A blend has no single molecular weight, since two sequences are in the vial. Does semax need to be refrigerated? works through the water volume question for the same style of vial.
Is selank legal in Canada?
Research peptides, selank included, are bought and sold in Canada as research chemicals intended for laboratory work. What the rules restrict is marketing, selling or using them as drugs for human consumption, and a research peptide carries no Health Canada approval for that. The line is intended use, not the molecule. Are research peptides legal in Canada? covers that distinction in full, and this page is general information, not legal advice.
Selank was developed in Russia and is studied in neuropeptide research rather than sold as a medicine here. If an approved product built on the same sequence ever exists in Canada, it would be a separate, regulated product, not the material in a research vial. Ordering from a supplier inside Canada also keeps the parcel in the country, so there is no customs step and no import fee at the door. The same availability question is answered for other peptides in DSIP in Canada and BPC-157 in Canada.
How to check a selank vial
The lab report is the part you can check without trusting anyone's packaging. A selank report should show:
- an observed mass near 751.87 g/mol
- purity at 99% or higher by HPLC, the floor for every batch pepuro ships
- a batch number that matches the code on the vial
- the name of an independent lab that ran the test
Mass settles identity, and the mass-spec line also separates selank from the peptides sold beside it:
| Peptide | Molecular weight |
|---|---|
| Selank | 751.87 g/mol |
| Semax | 813.92 g/mol |
| DSIP | 848.81 g/mol |
Scan the QR code on any pepuro selank vial to open the report for its batch, or type the batch code into the tracking page. How to read a peptide lab report explains each line of it.
Handling a selank vial
Dry powder is the forgiving form. Keep a sealed vial in the freezer for the long term, around -20°C, and a fridge or a cool dark shelf is fine for a few weeks. Room temperature in transit is not a problem, which is the reason the vial ships lyophilized in the first place.
Once water goes in, the margin narrows. A reconstituted vial belongs in the fridge at 2 to 8°C, away from the door shelf, and it is a use-it item rather than something to store. Run bacteriostatic water down the inside wall and swirl rather than shake, since foam means shear and shear costs purity. Repeated freeze-thaw cycles do more damage than a few degrees of warmth, so split a solution into aliquots before freezing if it needs to keep longer. The Epitalon handling guide works through the same rules for a shorter peptide with entirely different numbers.
Every selank vial from pepuro ships free from our Calgary, Toronto and Vancouver distribution centers, dispatched the same business day your e-Transfer clears, with a QR code on the vial that opens its independent, third-party lab report.
For research use only. Not for human or animal consumption.
Frequently asked questions
Is selank available in Canada?
+
Yes, as a research chemical. Canadian suppliers sell lyophilized selank for laboratory use, and pepuro ships 5 mg, 10 mg and 30 mg vials from inside Canada. It is not sold as a drug, and a research vial carries no Health Canada approval.
What is selank?

Selank is a synthetic seven-residue peptide, an analog of tuftsin, a four-residue immune peptide, with a proline-glycine-proline tail added to the sequence. Its sequence is TKPRPGP and its molecular weight is 751.87 g/mol. It is studied in neuropeptide research.

What does a selank vial cost in Canada?
+
At pepuro a 5 mg vial is $27.99, a 10 mg vial is $39.99 and a 30 mg vial is $89.99, with free shipping anywhere in Canada. That works out to about $5.60 a milligram for the smallest vial and about $3.00 for the largest.
How do I check that a vial really contains selank?
+
Read its lab report. The observed mass should sit near 751.87 g/mol, purity should be 99% or higher by HPLC, the batch number should match the code on the vial, and a named independent lab should have run the test.
Does selank need to be refrigerated?
+
Not while it is the dry powder. Selank ships lyophilized, so it is stable at room temperature in transit and for weeks on a cool, dark shelf. Once water is added, keep the vial in the fridge at 2 to 8°C and work through it rather than storing it.
