Research peptides in Abbotsford and the US border
Picking up an order across the Sumas crossing does not avoid customs. It puts you in front of it in person, holding the goods, with every obligation attached.
Published August 3, 2026
Abbotsford sits against the international boundary with the Sumas crossing minutes away. Close enough that people consider driving over to collect an order.
Doing that does not avoid customs. It puts you in front of customs, personally, holding the goods.

Personal importation is still importation
Crossing with goods makes you the importer of record. Every obligation that attaches to a commercial import attaches to you: declaration, admissibility, and any restrictions that apply.
Research chemicals are a category that draws questions. The difference between a parcel being held and you being held up is that in the second case you are standing there.
Mail from a US supplier is no better
- Parcels entering Canada may be examined, delayed or refused by CBSA.
- Import obligations rest with the receiver, not the sender or the carrier.
- Refused or seized material is generally not replaced, and most supplier terms exclude customs outcomes.
- Cross-border recourse is weak. A dispute with a Canadian supplier runs under Canadian consumer protection law; a dispute over a seized parcel with a foreign seller does not.
Buying research peptides in Canada covers the domestic alternative.
What to verify wherever you order
| Check | Why |
|---|---|
| Batch-specific third-party report | Establishes what is in your vial, not the product line |
| Named lab and test date | Makes the analysis attributable and current |
| HPLC purity and mass-spec identity | Purity alone does not confirm the compound |
| Batch number matching the vial | Ties document to material |
| Domestic shipping | No customs exposure, and real recourse |
Check the vial before you use it
Every vial we ship carries its own QR code. Scanning it opens the third-party lab report for the exact batch that vial was filled from: HPLC purity, mass-spec identity, appearance, the testing lab and the date. Scan a sample at /track before you order anything. Or open the Lab Reports tab on any product page and enter your email; we send the report for the latest batch.
Four things to confirm on arrival:
- The batch number on the label matches the report the code opens.
- The seal and stopper are intact.
- The lyophilized cake is dry and whole, not collapsed, shrunken or tacky.
- The colour matches what the report describes.
If a vial arrives broken, cracked, leaking or with a broken seal, or you were sent the wrong product, contact support within 7 days of delivery and we will replace it with a new vial.

Frequently asked questions
Can I collect an order across the border in person?
+
You can, and it makes you the importer with every obligation that carries: declaration, admissibility, and any restrictions that apply. Personal importation does not avoid CBSA, it places you directly in front of it.
Is ordering from a US supplier practical from Abbotsford?
+
The Sumas crossing is close, but customs treatment does not depend on distance. A parcel entering Canada may be examined, delayed or refused, and import obligations rest with you as receiver.
What happens if material is refused entry?
+
It may be detained or returned, and the cost falls on the importer. Most suppliers exclude liability for customs outcomes, so a refused shipment is generally not replaced.
Do you ship to Chilliwack, Mission and Langley?
+
Yes, free, along with every address in the Fraser Valley.
