When a blend makes sense

  • Fewer vials to handle. One reconstitution, one storage item, one batch report to file.
  • Usually cheaper per milligram of total peptide, because it is one fill and one shipment.
  • Fixed ratios. The proportions are set at fill time.

When separate vials are better

  • You want control over ratios, which a blend fixes for you.
  • You want to use one component without the others. Once blended, they are inseparable.
  • You want independent batch reports for each peptide rather than one report covering the vial.

What to check on a blended vial's report

This is where blends differ from single vials in a way that matters.

A blend's report should confirm each peptide it contains, not report one combined figure. A three-peptide blend whose report shows a single mass-spec result does not describe the whole vial. Purity should likewise be reported in a way you can attribute.

Blends also list a combined weight, so compare total peptide content rather than the number on the label when weighing a blend against separate vials.

Check the vial before you use it

Every vial we ship carries its own QR code. Scanning it opens the third-party lab report for the exact batch that vial was filled from: HPLC purity, mass-spec identity, appearance, the testing lab and the date. Scan a sample at /track before you order anything.

Four things to confirm on arrival:

  1. The batch number on the label matches the report the code opens.
  2. The seal and stopper are intact.
  3. The lyophilized cake is dry and whole, not collapsed, shrunken or tacky.
  4. The colour matches what the report describes.
