Do suppliers actually ship to Vancouver Island?
Island postal codes are where free shipping across Canada quietly stops being true. Surcharges and exclusions appear at the checkout address step. How to check before you fill a cart.

"Free shipping across Canada" is where island postal codes quietly become an exception. Read the shipping terms before the product page.

Three ways island addresses get treated differently
Surcharge at checkout. A flat fee appearing once the postal code is entered, framed as a remote or island fee. The product page said free; the fee arrives three steps later.
Postal code exclusion. Some suppliers do not serve certain codes at all. You find out when the address fails to validate.
Silent service downgrade. Free shipping honoured, but routed on a slower service than mainland orders, with nothing said about it.
The ninety-second check
| Step | Look for |
|---|---|
| Enter your real postal code at checkout | Any change to the shipping line |
| Scan for "remote", "island", "rural" | Wording varies between suppliers |
| Read the shipping policy page | Some list excluded postal codes explicitly |
| Read the returns terms | Who pays return freight from the island |
That last row catches more people than the surcharge does. If a vial fails its report and you pay return freight from Vancouver Island, the cost of a problem is higher than the price suggested.
Ours: free shipping to every Canadian address including the island, no surcharge on any postal code, and a vial that fails its lab report is replaced without a return-freight argument.
Routing does not threaten the material
An extra leg is a scheduling fact. Freeze-dried powder is stable at ambient temperature far beyond any domestic routing, because the reactions that degrade peptides in solution need water to run. A vial that took an extra leg to Sidney arrives no different from one that went to Burnaby.
Check the vial before you use it
Every vial we ship carries its own QR code. Scanning it opens the third-party lab report for the exact batch that vial was filled from: HPLC purity, mass-spec identity, appearance, the testing lab and the date. Scan a sample at /track before you order anything.
Four things to confirm on arrival:
- The batch number on the label matches the report the code opens.
- The seal and stopper are intact.
- The lyophilized cake is dry and whole, not collapsed, shrunken or tacky.
- The colour matches what the report describes.
A vial that fails any of those is replaced. Contact support within 7 days of delivery.

Frequently asked questions
Do suppliers charge extra to ship to Vancouver Island?+
Some do. Island, rural and remote-area surcharges are common and usually applied at checkout rather than shown on the product page. Others exclude certain postal codes entirely. We charge no surcharge on any Canadian postal code.
How do I check before filling a cart?+
Enter a real island postal code at checkout and look at the shipping line before entering payment details. Surcharges and exclusions almost always appear at the address step.
Does the extra routing leg affect the material?+
No. Lyophilized peptides are freeze-dried powder, stable at ambient temperature well beyond any domestic routing. The dry form exists so transit time is not the limiting factor.
Do you ship to Nanaimo, Duncan and Sidney?+
Yes, free, along with every address on Vancouver Island and the Gulf Islands.
