What the numbers mean for Snap-8
Snap-8 is stated by mass on the label, and the calculator reports mass per volume. A molecular weight for the molar column is not on file for this product; the Specifications tab has what we can confirm.
The vial holds 10 mg of powder and no diluent. Add bacteriostatic water down the inside of the glass, swirl, and do not shake. The reconstitution guide covers the handling; this page covers the arithmetic.
Common questions
How much water do I add to a 10 mg vial of Snap-8?+
Any volume that gives a concentration you can measure easily. 1 mL gives 10 mg/mL, 2 mL gives 5 mg/mL, 5 mL gives 2 mg/mL. The peptide amount stays 10 mg whatever you add.
What is the concentration of Snap-8 10 mg in 2 mL?+
5 mg/mL, which is the same as 5 µg/µL.
Where does the Snap-8 molecular weight come from?+
