What the numbers mean for DSIP
DSIP has a molecular weight of 848.81 g/mol (C35H48N10O15). So 5 mg is about 5.89 micromoles, whatever volume you dissolve it in. At 2.5 mg/mL that is 2.95 mM.
Sequence: WAGGDASGE. The expected mass on the vial's mass-spec result is the molecular weight above; a match within a tenth of a percent is the identity check passing.

How much water do I add to a 5 mg vial of DSIP?

Any volume that gives a concentration you can measure easily. 1 mL gives 5 mg/mL, 2 mL gives 2.5 mg/mL, 5 mL gives 1 mg/mL. The peptide amount stays 5 mg whatever you add.
What is the concentration of DSIP 5 mg in 2 mL?
